NBC Sports App Reviews

I share the concern in other reviews with need to enter credentials after each update. Latest update establishes a Fox Sports App look; just a vertical string of what is playing today. Previous versions were easy to scroll by day to check upcoming events. This GUI is a step backwards. Fox Sports App was not as convenient as previous NBC Sports App. Why try to emulate it?

But headlines in the app tell you the result of some of these events.

This app seems to keep going backward. First they remove the ability to AirPlay to my Apple TV. That was the only way I could watch on my TV since the Apple TV app never seems to have the up-to-date replays. Now, they seem to be dropping shows from the iPad app as well. Hey, NBC...Id like to be able to watch the F1 races. Nowhere can I find the China race...and its two weeks after it was broadcast!!

I love to watch my home town teams, Newcastle and Norwich in our California home. Incredible service.

It keeps crashing and freezing fix this problem

Before it would just crash, now there is no icon at all. Toggled AirPlay on/off on Apple TV, nothing...

Whats the point of having a "mobile" app if that restriction is forcing me to be glued to my home TV?

The hardest trophy to win in sports is the Stanley Cup. Thats a fact. Look it up. I defy you to find even one galoot deluded enough to attempt dissenting to this universally accepted and self-evident morsel of reality. The NBC Sports app allows me to witness the high drama that unfolds in the crusade for sports acme. And I need only suffer through a few commercials promoting lesser events like the olympics or international Formula 1 racing. This app gets five stars, because it is my unfailing window into the pinnacle of mankinds sporting achievement. Keep it up NBC! #Hockey4eva #Race4theCup #LordStanley #PuckLuck

Its absurd that you have to watch an ad if you have to leave the stream for any reason. Also, it gets glitchy when you leave a stream. Was watching hockey last night but needed to leave the app for a moment, when I came back I not only needed to watch yet another ad, but it had 3 instances of the audio feed running simultaneously. The only fix is to force close the app, which means watching YET ANOTHER ad. Fix it!

Hasnt worked once. Claims blackout when not applicable. Dont offer a product that doesnt work! Lame, great concept,poor execution.

App and website never update anything in any orderly fashion.

As someone described it on Twitter : Ads and "coverage to begin shortly" on @liveextra nbc live extra. I thought LIVE meant, well. Live.

Not sure if its the latest update or if they decided to change things without notifying customers, but all of a sudden NHL games are giving an error of being blacked out in my region, even though theyre supposed to be broadcast nationwide starting with round 2 of the playoffs and also Im nowhere near the regions in question. Terrible treatment of customers to block some of the best content for no good reason. FYI this is happening on both iPhone and iPad apps.

It would be a nice app if I didnt have to login with my TV provider every couple times. The app forgets my login at LEAST once a week. How hard can it be to keep me signed in....

This is a very good app. Premiere League live matches, and replays. If your local basketball and baseball teams, are broadcast on CSN, its awesome. ( baseball coming son) Too bad they dont have the MLS games. Even though they are broadcast on CSN sometimes. Although the app has crashed a few times, these guys are on top of it! Once the local baseball blackout rule is lifted, this app will be great!!

I live in California. I am a Time Warner subscriber. Downloaded the app to stream the Caps / Penguins game - blacked out in my region? Whats the point of the app if it cant stream events that you would otherwise have access to if at home? Very frustrating.

Didnt really try the new app yet but I like the design and much easier to use after navigating through it. Very nice and thanks for the designers

It seems things are going fine...then unexpected errors occur. Constantly.

All the darn commercials break the app and you have to constantly reload it. Cmon NBC! You really cant figure this out???

I know NBC needs to show ads to make money, but how about actually showing the hockey game?
