There is not a single app on Apple TV, like by a mile, that is as buggy as this app is. It is always crashing and I need to restart my device the day after I’ve watched something because it just shows a black screen when I open it the next day. I just want to watch baseball 😫

Constantly crashes and user experience is terrible. Get some actual designers and QA team on stat. Good thing it’s free.

It’s so hard to find things. And please highlight the women’s sports instead of at the end

How does this app possibly have so many 5 star reviews? It is hardly functional! For starters, it is absurd that there are live sporting events streamed on here but not on Peacock. The app experience stinks. Jump into a stream? They force an extended ad that’s not part of the broadcast. Leave the app for a few seconds? Ad. Check your notifications? Stream buffers and… ad. Plug your charger in? Stream buffers and another ad! The worst part of this is that NBC does a great job of covering a huge variety of sports. It’s such a shame that this app is still supported and remains pseudo-functional.

It rarely works and when it does you can’t even watch games. Logged in with cable provider and games are blacked out. Leave town and it’s unavailable in the area. Literally no way to watch your teams so what’s the point of showing the games as available in the app??? Would give 0 stars if it let me. Complete trash.

The app is quite buggy. It closes all the time when using Picture in Picture and often won’t play the live stream I am trying to select.

This has to be the worst app. I’ve had it for three days and I haven’t gotten to watch anything.

This app is un-intuitive… I simply return to because I have to. I am flabbergasted STILL that I cannot SHARE clips to friends. WHAT a FAIL. This app needs a FULL TEARDOWN ANS REBUILD

So Buggy. Always need to restart for it to work

While watching Olympic events ads appear randomly. Even in the middle of an event. Very often it’s 9 ads in a row! And as if that’s not bad enough, they’ve apparently allotted space for more ads than they intend to run so at ad 8 or 9 the app goes blank waiting for the next to appear which never does and you must back out of the stream and start over. This app keeps getting worse. Its new “feature” is to exit with no warning (crash) after streaming for 15 or so minutes. They need to abandon this horrible app and move the content to Peacock (which is great but it’s better).

The app will continually play a Toyota commercial even when after playing even when you adjust a volume, screen brightness, scrolling the channels or sports tab below video and any instance of just touching the screen either by accident or on purpose. Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! Especially after paying $30/month to add nbc sports to my account!!!

I'm disappointed because I pay a monthly subscription and if you don't have a TV provider NBC sports cannot be seen.

Login on The fire TV version of this app needs to be streamlined! It’s really a pain to login and I get logged out all the time and no idea why.

Any time I want to watch this app on my Apple TV (every weekend) I have to delete and redownload the app

Until a few days ago I wasn’t having any problems with this app at all. Now if I tap the icon, it show the peacock opening and then immediately shuts down. I tried all of the steps suggested online to troubleshoot this problem including restarting my phone and reinstalling the app twice. It still just opens and quickly shuts down!

When I attempt to link my tv provider I just get a blank white screen. No error message. No explanation. No help. Just a blank white page on my iPhone and my iPad. Restarting devices does not help. Not wasting any more of my time on this. Deleting apps.

How is it possible for an app to be so bad? No other streaming app I use has these problems. I keep all my devices and the app updated yet the bugs remain. It fails to cast to my tv 99% of the time, and when it finally does it freezes and fails in a short amount of time. It always cuts off the broadcast early to go to commercials, freezes up and restarts replays from the beginning if I try to skip ahead to a certain part, and makes me relink to my cable provider frequently despite never logging out. If I didn’t need this app I would never use it. Unfortunately I have yet to find another option that won’t cost me more money. So for now I’m stuck. PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF SPORTS, FIX YOUR APP!! It can’t be that difficult if everyone else can keep things running smoothly.

This app is amazing because I love Toyota ads. Start a show? Toyota! Switch apps for a second and switch back! Toyota! Swipe up to go to PiP mode? Nope, TOYOTA!!! Don’t look at your phone funny while trying to watch a game unless you want it to interrupt the broadcast with a Toyota ad. Ready set let’s go… watch some ads!!!

So many problems with this app, if I wasn’t forced to use it to watch soccer games I would banish it to the trash bin forever.

The NBC Sports app used to work great. Now it doesn’t even open. It shuts down as soon as I open it. I’ve even tried reinstalling to no avail. Please fix it NBC.

Playback feature is terrible. Video would reset if a notification pops up or if video was accidentally closed.

Updated 2/6/25: App crashes, then shows a 30 second Toyota commercial. This happens during game action. Gonna keep this going til they fix this and increase the counter every time it happens.

New Apple TV, app and OS are up to date. App never seems to work, just black screens. Reboot, still nothing. End up having to stream off another device pretty much every time

If you blink too slowly this app jams an advertisement in. Change brightness = play an ad. Check notifications = play an ad… Yet will remember the exact second where you are in the delayed live stream

Surprising how little work has gone into this. The user experience and interface is way behind the curve. No Continue Watching section? If you accidentally close a game rerun you’re watching or can’t finish, you can’t restart from where you left off? Have to resort to fast forwarding, stopping to checking, going more, stopping to check, rewind. And then watch the same four commercials 6 times to make up for all the commercial breaks you already watched but had to fast forward through. Restarting a game is a 5-10 minute prospect. Pretty pathetic effort when there are hundreds of other similar apps that a manager could have told developers and designers to just make it look like.

Every 3 days I have to re-authenticate my cable provider. It’s really. Annoying.

Trying to watch a NBA game on this app is inexcusably bad. You will without fail always fall behind the live event and the player gives you no option to go directly live. If you try to scrub through, the video player buffers and your feed is no longer live.

Makes you watch a 1 minute ad everytime you try to watch something. Always has some kind of glitch or problem. Can never just watch a full game without issues

For no reason. Never had this issue before, but really annoying.

Very disgusted and upset with this app and NBC Sports and the games they restrict. I feel they don’t care about anything but money deals. There are so many of us that feel the devoted NBC fans ate getting cheated. Shame on this company!

Glitchy. Stops working. Have to re-sign into tv provider every time. Created a profile but still won’t save my cable provider credentials

Difficult to find golf

Terrible app! Not intuitively navigable. Don’t know why i have to get this app and Peacock to watch sports when there are the same company. Hate it.

To many, the user interface of an app is what determines its usefulness. The frustrating “why won’t this thing just do the thing I downloaded it for”? Especially when certain user permissions — such as MLB and NFL blackout rules — are in play. To those who open an app and feel frustrated, count your blessings. For not once has this app ever opened on my device, or any device in my household. It simply crashes on opening. No matter what iOS version I have, deleting/updating this app, nothing. Truly the most worthless app a multibillion dollar company can make.

Excellent the best sports network in the country.

App requires me to re-login about 25% of the time. Another 25%, I open it to get a black screen that forces me to restart my ATV. The other 50% is great.

Absolutely no excuse for having an app that can’t be zoomed to fill the whole screen.

This app only plays in Spanish on my phone even though I have English selected. Bi lingual I am not. I tried everything.

Keeps signing me out over and over again, every time I close the app I have to sign in to my tv provider.

The app seems to close unexpectedly when watching live TV. The menu is overcrowded and it’s not easy to find what you want to watch.
